Into Wildlife
A one-day seminar for secondary school students interested in working with animals as a career.
Into Wildlife is ideally suited to secondary school students over 15 years of age and has been designed to provide an insight into relevant tertiary courses and the variety of careers available working with animals.
The program includes:
- behind-the-scenes tours offering an in-depth look at the work of zoo keepers;
- guest speakers from tertiary institutions and conservation organisations;
- tips on making contacts and ‘getting your foot in the door’ to competitive and exciting careers working with wildlife.

Wild About Animals
Join Perth Zoo and the RSPCA for a fun-filled day learning about how to care for animals.
You will:
- visit ‘behind the scenes’ and have up-close encounters with Zoo animals;
- learn how the RSPCA cares for animals and discover ways to improve the care of some special ones;
- create some objects for Zoo animals and domestic pets that stimulate and encourage natural behaviours.

Venue: Education and Conference Centre, Perth Zoo
The program is suitable for children aged between 10 and 14 years. Participants will be fully supervised throughout the program. Morning tea is included in the price.
