Perth Zoo is arguably one of the best small zoos in the world. More than half a million visitors come through our gates each year, making Perth Zoo the most popular capital city zoo (on a per capita basis) in Australia. Each year, around 60,000 school children participate in our environmental and conservation-based education programs.

A leader in conservation, Perth Zoo is recognised as being one of the first zoos in the world to be completely re-designed to bring its exhibits and exhibits up to date with community expectations and modern animal husbandry requirements in line with its mission statement.
