8:00am to 12:30pm and 1:00pm to 2:30pm

How to Make a Booking

You have three options for booking your excursion –

Option 1 – complete the Online Booking Form. This is the best option for bookings of either one or two classes from your school for a single visit.

Option 2 – complete the Booking Request Form and return it by fax or mail. This is the second best option for bookings of either one or two classes from your school for a single visit.

Option 3 – telephone our Bookings Officer on 9474 0365. This is the best option if booking three or more classes from your school or multiple visits.

You will receive a written confirmation for your booking within seven working days. Please telephone 9474 0365 if you do not receive a letter within this time. We will endeavour to fulfil your booking request and will contact you by telephone if we are unable to do so.

Excursion Options

Education Experience or Self-Guided?
You may choose to include a 45 minute Education Experience with one of our experienced Education Officers or a self-guided experience. A range of resources are available for either option.

Special Programs
We also offer special programs for your class excursion throughout the year including live performances and craft activities. Details are available here.

How much will my excursion cost?

Please note: There is a minimum charge of 10 students per Education Experience.

Primary and Secondary Students

$7.50 per student for entry into the Zoo (self-guided).

$10.00 per student for entry into the Zoo and an Education Experience.

Tertiary Students

$15.00 per student for entry into the Zoo (self-guided).

$17.50 per student for entry into the Zoo and an Education Experience.

Arts Experience

$10.50 per student (includes Zoo entry and experience)

Free of Charge Ratio:

one adult per five children (Kindy to Yr 2)
one adult per ten students (Yr 3 – Tertiary)

Additional adult helpers pay regular Zoo entry fees:

Teacher Assistants or Carers of students with special needs are Free of Charge.

All prices valid from 1 July 2007.

Free entry for some adults!

To help facilitate your visit, Perth Zoo offers a free entry ratio of one adult per ten primary and secondary students, and one adult per five pre-primary students.

This allowance only applies to bookings made through Perth Zoo Education. An adult is defined as a teacher, parent or carer over 18 years of age.
